Who is Yatrakaar?
Umesh Pant was born in Gangolihat, Pithoragarh — a small town nestled in the Kumaon Himalayas of Uttarakhand. From an early age, the mountains called to him. Not just to climb, but to understand.
He became a writer, photographer, and traveller — authoring Hindi travelogues including “Innerline Pass”, “Door Durgam Durust”, and “Chhani-Kharikon Mein”, and a Ghazal collection “Zehen Ka Perahan”.
Yatrakaar Bazaar was born from a simple belief: that travel changes you, and the things you bring back — or carry with you — should mean something.

Mission Statement
Travel with purpose and meaning at Yatrakaar “We exist to celebrate the travellers, artisans, and storytellers who find beauty in the roads less taken. Every product in this bazaar carries a piece of that journey.”

We Document. We Journey. We Share.
At Yatrakaar, travel is never just movement — it is meaning recorded. We believe traveller is a biographer of his time.
Every story, every trail, every craft we curate carries a living archive of India’s soul. Read the journeys that built this bazaar.
